Dear Food Safety Professionals,
It is my great pleasure to introduce you to the first Oman Food Safety Conference.
A lot has changed in terms of safeguarding consumer health and strengthening public safety since the Food Safety Law was passed in Oman just under two years ago. The legislation for the first time provided legislation dealing with threats to public health and consumer safety stemming from various aspects of food products including quality, safety, transportation storage, import and export. Despite the many advances in Oman’s food safety capability, there are still many areas requiring immediate attention.
This forum will provide food safety professionals and stakeholders with a unique opportunity to learn innovative practices, exchange insights, network and provide opportunities to establish and develop mutual business relationships.
